About

First Nations Cultural Consultancy is proudly led by First Nations professionals, offering culturally informed guidance, mentoring and advocacy through both lived experience and professional expertise. Based in Lutruwita & Naarm, however we support folk Australia wide online.

We provide a trusted sounding board for individuals, businesses, schools, churches, organisations and community groups wanting to engage respectfully and meaningfully with First Nations Peoples and communities.

Whether you are just wanting to learn more about our culture, seeking guidance on cultural protocols, community engagement, communication, policies, events or culturally safe practice, we offer practical advice in a supportive, respectful and non-judgemental environment.

Rather than focusing solely on one-off training sessions, our approach centres on ongoing relationships, mentoring and genuine conversations that build cultural confidence and understanding over time. We believe respectful engagement begins with listening, asking questions and being willing to learn.

There are no wrong questions, we believe coming together means asking the questions you’re unsure of, that’s what we are here for!

We also provide mentoring, counselling and advocacy support for First Nations Peoples, walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate services, education, workplaces, health systems and government agencies. Our goal is to empower community to advocate for themselves, feel culturally safe and access the support you deserve.

We recognise that there is no single First Nations experience. Every First Nations person, family, community and Nation has its own unique history, culture, perspectives and lived experiences. Our work is grounded in humility and respect, acknowledging this diversity and the importance of local knowledge and relationships.

As First Nations professionals, we remain actively connected with communities across Australia, continuing our own learning and cultural growth through ongoing relationships, conversation and community engagement. We believe cultural knowledge is lifelong and ever evolving, and we are committed to ensuring our guidance reflects current community voices and perspectives.

Our role is twofold: to walk alongside First Nations Peoples through mentoring, counselling, advocacy and support, while also guiding non-First Nations organisations and individuals towards culturally safe, respectful and meaningful engagement. By creating spaces for honest conversations, shared learning and genuine partnerships, we aim to strengthen relationships, foster understanding and contribute to a future where First Nations Peoples and non-First Nations people walk together with respect, trust and shared purpose.

Together, let’s build understanding, strengthen relationships, through genuine partnership, one conversation at a time.
